Pool Effects

The equipment for making pool effects used to be very expensive. Only the large hotels and resorts could use this equipment for their swimming pools. Now, manufacturers of pool equipment have designed pool effect pipes and assemblies that are affordable and commercially available.

Spout effects

Spout pool effects are commonly used in fountains. They make water stream or jet. They are installed along the edge of the swimming pool to create arcs and shapes over the swimmers. Some models can make continuous jets of water, creating the illusion of having a semitransparent dome over the pool.

Spout effects are fun and beautiful to watch both in and out of the swimming pool. They are popular with children because the streams of water catch the light and creating dazzling rainbows. They are commonly used at many expensive hotels, but they are now available commercially. However, sprout effects are expensive. The price varies depending on the number of nozzles and the size of the pump to be installed. These pool effects can be bought for $300 to over $5,000 for more intricate designs.

Mist effects

Mist effects are cheaper and more appealing than spout effects. Instead of causing water to stream, mist effects disperse water into the air, create a haze from the falling water droplets. The nozzles for mist effect assemblies are more intricate than the ones used for spout effects.

Mist effects can be installed anywhere near the swimming pool. They work best in swimming pools surrounded by rocks or other uneven surfaces. The rocks collect the water droplets in the mist and this creates rivulets that trickle back into the pool. This prevents the water from scattering and creating a mess. The sound of the trickling water also adds to the effect.

Mist effects can recreate the misting effect of waterfalls. When water crashes onto a basin at the base of a waterfall, the impact forces other particles into the air to create a mist. However, artificial misting effects do not need this kind of force to create mists. Large mist clouds can be formed by medium- or high-pressure pool effects. The jets are installed at the base of the pool. Pressurized airĀ  passes through the jets to create a mist over the water. More mist is produced as the air pressure increases. This effect can also be used in conjunction with special lights to create spectacular pool effects.

The paths leading to the swimming pool can also be misted through path landscaping. The mist creates the illusion of walking through a tropical rain forest, especially if the path is decorated with large rocks and tropical trees. This effect is popular in tropical resorts and hotels.
