Caretaker is a line of pool maintenance products that specializes in state-of-the-art cleaning systems and reliable customer support for Caretaker pools parts. Manufactured by Polaris, an Australian company, Caretaker cleaning systems and Caretaker pools parts assure you and your kids a fun and safe swimming experience anytime. How it works Caretaker pools parts make up one of the most cost- and energy-efficient pool cleaning systems in the market today. Caretaker cleaning systems are installed on your pool floor, where it uses the surrounding water pressure to circulate pool water and spread the sanitizing agents. The Caretaker system also distributes heat and chemicals evenly to every section of your pool, preventing algae growth. Cleaning heads Distributed throughout the pool’s floor area, cleaning heads are the most vital among the Caretaker pools parts. Each cleaning head receives clean water from the pool valves and distributes it within a 360-degree radius. Polaris offers a lifetime guarantee on its cleaning heads, with free repair and reduced replacement costs for five years. Replacement costs vary depending on the length of time from the date of purchase. Replacement is free for the first 18 months, $5 up to the second year, $10 for the third year, $15 for the fourth year and $20 for the fifth year. Water Valves You can choose from a five-port water valve and an eight-port UltraFlex water valve. Both have a service indicator gauge, which tells you when the valves are performing below the minimum operating pressure and need to be brought to your dealer for repair. The gauge on the five-port valve is located on top of the housing, while that on the eight-port valve is on the feeding line from the valve to the head. The minimum operating pressure depends on the number of cleaning heads operating at once. Two heads must reach at least 15 psi, three heads at least 16 psi, four heads 17 psi, and five heads at least 19 psi. Screens and rings on water valves are limited to a one-year warranty, but all valves sold as part of the Caretaker 99 pool maintenance system come with a lifetime warranty on all parts. The UltraFlex valve is warranted against material and workmanship defects up to one year, with a two-year warranty on the electronics and circuit boards. In addition, Polaris provides a rebuilding kit to let you repair the valves on your own in case of failures. LeafTrapper The LeafTrapper is an optional accessory that fits all Caretaker pools parts. It works with your pool’s filtration system, trapping medium to large particles including leaves, twigs, bugs, and small stones. The LeafTrapper can reduce the filtering time from almost half a day to a few minutes. It also helps protect your filter from getting damaged by heavy particles, which can tear the screens and inhibit water flow. |
